Mrs. Catherine Stabler age 91, died May 7, 2012, with her husband, Dr. Sammy Stabler by her side.

Service for Mrs. Stabler will be held Friday evening, May 11, 2012 with her grandsons Rev. Mark Adams and Rev. Don Woolley, along with Rev. Griff Pemberton officiating. The service will be at Perry Funeral Home at 7: 00 PM with visitation from 5: 00 PM to 7:00 PM. Burial will be Saturday May 12, 2012, at Gordo City Cemetery, Gordo, AL, at 1:30 P.M. She was born April 19, 1921, in Purvis, Mississippi, to Willis and Marie Collum.

Mrs. Stabler was an active member of Centre First United Methodist Church, Eastern Star, and the Civitan Club. She loved to sew, quilt, paint, and spend time with her family.

She is survived by her husband, Dr.Sammy Stabler; her children George (Margaret) Stabler of Mt. Airy, GA, Anita (Jimmy) Adams of Tuscaloosa, AL, Bettye (Doug) Eubanks of Mobile, AL; 7 grandchildren; 15 great – grandchildren; 3 great – great - grandchildren; two sisters Sudie (Jim) Lott of Perry, GA, and Vera (Fred) Hammer of Albertville, AL; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents Willis and Marie Collum and Helen Lewis, sister.
