Barbara Nell King Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Barbara Nell King, age 89 of Centre, passed away Thursday, May 19, 2022. A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, May 21, 2022, at 1:00 pm at Perry Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. David Dale officiating. The family will receive friends from 12Pm until 1Pm Saturday at the funeral home. Survivors include her daughters, Anita O’Neal Vogt (Michael) and Kathie O’Neal Rhodes (Michael); step sons, Michael King (Sylvia) and Jerry King (Darlene); grandchildren, Christopher Hill (Patty), Amie Davis (Ron), Holy Murray, Teri Hogeland (Terrill), and Casey Scott; step grandchildren, April Helms (Eric), Shane King (Meredith), and Adam Rhodes; brother, Dwight Matheny (Patricia); sister in law, Linda Matheny. 18 great grandchildren also remain. She was preceded in death by her husbands, John William O’Neal and Paul Lee King; son, Johnny O’Neal ; step son, Charlie Paul King; and step daughter, Nellie Jo Espin. Mrs. King was the daughter of the late William McKinley Matheny and Elma Louise Lindsey Matheny. She was a seamstress by trade at Centre Manufactory, and was a faithful member to Fairview United Methodist church. Barbara was a loving matriarch and will be missed by many.
